FOKKER Dr.1 TRIPLANE and RE8. Escape from the Baron
In this 1917 scene, Manfred von Richthofen's Fokker Dr.1 triplane tries desperately to get his sights on an RFC RE8 as it dives towards the clouds to escape. This painting was exhibited at the 2017 Mall Galleries exhibition of the Guild of Aviation Artists in London.
Painted in acrylics on a 16" x 12" canvas, it is framed in a professionally hand built 3" wide timber frame with an overall size of 22" x 18" SOLD
