HINDENBURG
The German airship is shown landing at Lakehurst, New Jersey in 1936, a year prior to its final demise at the same location. This small watercolour/gouache painting won the main “Aviation Painting of the Year” award at the 1984 Guild of Aviation Artists annual exhibition in London.
